How about people learn a little more about computers.

Don't want a gaming computer and go off to buy a Macbook Air because it's "the new hip thing".

Don't buy a boxed PC off the shelves that says "ULTIMATE GAMING PC X-TREME!!!!!11" on the box that costs $3000.

Take the time, learn the parts, learn the figures. Believe me, it will pay off to know. I started reading up on parts, reading online guides, reading reading reading, and now I know how I can build my own computer by ordering the individual parts for cheap.

The reason stores can sell you a cheap computer for so much, or any electronics for that matter, is because people just DON'T KNOW what they're doing.

Take MP3 players for example. A 512MB player hanging on a rack at wal-mart that "can store 10,000 songs!!" sells for the same as a 5GB player for just as much online because people don't have any idea what they're buying.

Trust me, do the research. It'll take a while and you'll find out how to save yourself a lot of money.
