I am Lenin in Switzerland
minus awaiting army
sound mentality
or even a definite point of view.

I am Lenin in Switzerland
longing for the steppes
for the brutal wind
for even the cold gunmetal.

I am Lenin in Switzerland
my pointy beard
my manic and devoted mistress
my strange eyes full of love.

I am Lenin in Switzerland
only I'm in America
revolution is a 40 year old pop song
and rage is the name of a band.

I am Lenin in Switzerland
only nobody believes me.

I am Lenin in Switzerland
as a pimped out '70s Monte Carlo
screams around the corner
of my quiet thoroughfare.

I am Lenin in Switzerland
you want to start some shit, faggot?

I am Lenin in Switzerland
and I hear the train
that will carry me home
to Mother Russia!

There will be great crowds
at Finland Station
dying to see me!

There will be weapons
and brilliant speeches
and a noble cause, not stillborn
and sirens and hoarse shouting
and hope fiercer than terror

from which each burning moment
is torn.
