Default fining players for unnecessary roughness in the NFL?? WTF?

Even offensive players are speaking out against this. In football, why in the hell would you punish people for tackling? This does not make sense. Ok, I can understand if you are fining players for hitting other players while they are down, that would make sense. However, they are fining players for doing things as simple as "hitting at full force," which I always thought you were supposed to do. I have a feeling that if this stays in effect, the Europeans may be right, football is a pansy game.

The NFL has gone to far protecting the Quarterback.

It is fucking ridiculous. I think they are secretly creating it so sissified to make it a women playable sport.

Yes, the NFL has gone soft over the years. If you watch old highlights, you'll see players clothes lining and head bunting the shit out of each other and receiving pats on the back for it like it was nothing. Now, you get fined ridiculous amounts of money and publicly ridiculed because you hit the quarterback while he was prancing towards the sideline.

Agreed. Although people still get laid the fuck out in the nfl. Are you sure players have been fined for "tackling at full force"?

Honestly, I think the problem with the NFL is the facemask.

It has increased neck injuries and to compensate, they have reduced hits to the head.

Notice the NFL is one of the only contact sports that has a prominent facemask. They really need to go to a different system, maybe a face shield that doesn't protrude from the head as much.

Fucking seriously. They fined Hines Ward for unnecessary roughness. A fucking receiver putting blocks on people. There wasn't even a flag on the play the fined him for either. Pretty fucking stupid.
