JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An attack on a Jacksonville woman began as an argument over President-elect Barack Obama, according to police.

The incident took place Friday morning at a Westside apartment in the 4000 block of Confederate Point Road when a fight over politics turned into a physical battle.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, 46-year-old Lindsy Whitfield got worked up when his friend told him she didn't like Obama.

Police said Whitfield slammed a picture frame on the floor of the woman's apartment, and then picked up the shattered frame, threw it and hit her in the face.

The enraged man then began beating the victim with his fists before telling her he was going to kill her, according to a police report.

The victim told police that after Whitfield stopped hitting her he grabbed her stun gun and ran out of the apartment.

Despite patrol efforts, Whitfield could not be located by police. He is wanted on charges of simple battery, petit theft and making threats.

Color isn't really the issue when it comes to domestic abuse (yeah I know it says they were friends, but maybe it was more than that), which is what I'm thinking this was really about. I'm betting there was already a lot of tension between them when the political discussion set him off.

Well I guess it's tit for tat, as there are just as many people that for the last 8 years found it very disturbing that so many people had a cult like following when it came to Bush and his idiotic ways.

There are also just as many out there that were very very disturbed that anyone in their right mind which apparently maccain wasn't, would have ever picked an even bigger moron like "sarah palin" as their running mate and think that was a smart idea.

I bet the dude was black, otherwise the article would have mentioned his race.

Of course, the news couldn't mention he was black, otherwize they would be racist.
