Games People Play Games People Play is where to discuss personal computer, video game console, and arcade hardware and software - be it RPG, Sim, Strategy, Fighting, Action/Platform, or any other category. Although discussion of modern platforms/software will most likely dominate, discussion of classic videogame/computer hardware and software is always enjoyable, and certainly welcome - ESPECIALLY since there are public domain/shareware emulators of nearly every older computer/console available these days. Here's a taste of what awaits you: Nintendo-vs-Sega-vs-Sony, Console-vs-PC-vs-Mac, Hardware spec sheets/information, Industry news and discussion, Software reviews, IRC conference announcements/Reports, Emulators, Emulators, Emulators! ... and much, much more!

This fucking company ripped off Guitar Hero to make this shitty Christian version of it. I'm not sure if this is a re-post, but for all those who haven't seen it, you won't fuckin believe it's real. I threw up a little when I watched the promo video, what does totse think bout this abomination?

I didn't think it was possible for rhythm games to be more retarded than the one with Aerosmith.

If there's anyone who shouldn't be involved with music (besides Aerosmith, of course) it's God.

But hey, they can't get much worse now, right?

.... Right?:(

Yeah. I don't hate Aerosmith in general, though I don't like them at all, it just seems weird to me that someone decided to make a whole game full of Aerosmith, or Christian music.

It's a slippery slope. Before long it could be "Guitar Hero: AC/DC"

Or people just don't have the same taste in music as you if they don't like ACDC.

Ya sure ACDC is great, but to generic IMO. Gets old fast you know. I listened to them when I was 13, got bored. Now I don't anymore, but I still think their songs are great.

Well they figured if they can't control what their children listen to they can damn sure ruin their Christmas with a gay rip of GH and Rock Band =) I am sure all those christian children bastards are going to be pissed with they wake up to a nice big box under the tree and Exclaim "Holy fuck they actually got me Rock Band/Guitar Hero!!!!" They would open their box and start crying, then run into their parents room. They would probably then commit suicide on their parents bed and leave behind a note that says ha ha jokes on you.

This game is retarded but religion is responsible for tons of great music and art in general.

Dear Lord...

That's fair enough. I certainly wasn't talking about art or religion in general, or even music in general, other than what I said about Aerosmith. I really don't like anything I've heard by them.

But I can think of at least two Christian bands I like, and I'm sure plenty of others were inspired a lot by religion in some way.

If someone gave me a choice between the Rock Band AC/DC track pack, Guitar Hero: Metallica, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, and Guitar Praise I'd probably choose Guitar Praise for the lulz because the other three suck so bad I wouldn't even play them ironically.

Tell me why they all suck, I'm too busy watching The West Wing to research it myself.

All of ACDC's songs sound the same and 80% of them have the most boring standard drum beats ever.

James Hetfield is a terrible singer and an even worst lyricist.

And Aerosmith, god, do I really need to explain that one? Seriously? I was pretty sure it went without saying.

No, but it's just more proof that terrible bands have been selling out for decades.

I don't think they could make a Guns N Roses Guitar Hero though, because the sight of a digital marionette version of Axl Rose would probably usher in the apocalypse. Every second my gaze was upon those lifeless robot versions of Aerosmith I felt like my soul was being sucked away, I can't even begin to imagine the horror that Whoopi Goldberg dipped in bleach motherfucker would unleash upon the world if his visage were given the same treatment.

Heh. That's exactly what I'm saying. :p

And I don't think my taste is terrible. I like a lot of different music, including many classic rock bands. AC/DC (along with Aerosmith and GnR, for that matter) just bores the hell out of me.
