Hi. I read on wikipedia that the common white mushrooms might contain trace amounts of a carcinogen- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agaricus_bisporus

Anybody heard of this? I have always thought mushrooms were wholesome, nutritious food. Now this is really bad news for me cause I love mushrooms.

Everything is a cause of cancer these days. Everything also seems to be a preventitive measure against it.

Just eat them. Don't listen to what they say.

If you're really all that concerned consider their origin to be a factor. Chemical companies have been using farmlands as dump grounds for years now, but vegetables are supposed to be supremely healthy for you, right?

as said earlier what does not give you cancer in this day an age? also, another thought to ponder. is a life with out mushrooms really a life worth leading?
