My mother shuffles through the bathroom at night
Shaking pill bottles like maracas
Yellow oblong niblits, Pop!
Pop! Pop!
The childproof lid forgotten.
An orange bottle lies
Exposed on the floor,
Her secrets spilling
Out of a bottomless
Hole.
