Default on harming others, and spiritual growth

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have been taught, and accept as true that if acting irresponsibly, if behaving in a way which you know might damage others or cause hardship or pain , is what makes you "feel good," then you have not evolved very far. There is nothing wrong with this--we all do what seems appropriate to us at the time.

However, all things must pass: this situation will change.

I promise you that a time will come when your concern will no longer be the fear-based needs of the ego--gaing approval or popularity or wealth or fame or even physical survival, but the growth of the spirit. You will no longer care for the attainment of worldly sucess, which is meaningless, but the realization of Self.

Spiritual growth is not only essential, but also inevitable. We are all on the road to sainthood.

Those of us who choose to work hard at attaining this end are no better than anyone else--but we are, I think, better off.

This is just an excuse to do more hallucinogenic drugs.

Incorrect. In my considerable experience, having gotten loaded for the first time on New Years Eve of 1953, using drugs simply retards your spiritual and emotional growth.

And leads to making stupid posts.

deja vu

I got in 2 fights on halloween that weren't my provocation (cept one where I purposely threw a beer at a guy then he pushed me and my friend beat the shit out of him) and felt more spiritually cleansed afterwords

I'm of the belief that some people deserve a stern beating
