I wear a Fossil. In my defense, its from their titanium line, very light. I've had it for 6 or 7 years, replaced the battery once, lost it once for about a week. I wouldn't replace it for the world. Keeps time, comfortable, and only cost me about $200 all that time ago. I suppose I've bonded with it.

Screw the haters. I too have a Fossil titanium. I bought it when I was 17, so I've had it about 5 years now. I haven't worn it since I was a senior in high school though. Fossil watches are juvenile and white trashy, in my opinion.

I'm not a fan of Tag Heuer but I do appreciate swiss watches. I usually wear an Omega Seamaster 300m automatic, very well made and not flashy, every once in a while it gets noticed.

Watches aren't very different from other luxury items, so it doesn't seem appropriate to think of them as an investment. You wear a nice watch for the sake of appearance, and for some it may mean new friends and business contacts. Admittedly, Americans are somewhat vain, it's our culture.

Omega is a great brand, and I like them better than Tag actually. I just can't afford an Omega. I got a great deal on the Tag I just bought, and only paid around $480 for it. I couldn't pass it up. Maybe if I stumble across a good deal on an Omega, one will be in my future as well.

He didn't challenge the fancy engineering. Sure it may still be ticking long after you die, or whatever mechanical excuse you may have for buying it, but that shit is plain ugly. You could have at least blown close to $500 on a better looking TAG-Heuer.

I have to agree, I don't like the styling. For $500 I would have gone with a nice Seiko or Citizen, you can pick from essentially their entire line, not just purchase the particular model that's on sale. Japanese quartz movements are very good.

I've had a seiko for 7 years. I replaced the crystal face once, and I've replaced the battery twice, I think. The only complaint I have is that I messed up the chronograph so that it doesn't reset to 0. I haven't bothered taking it anywhere to get this fixed. I should probably do that at some point. Thinking that I've worn it almost every day for the past 7 years is pretty interesting.

That seiko coutura looks really nice. It might be time for me to upgrade, but I don't know if I want to part with the one I have now.
