Is it offensive to dress like a terrorist for a party?
I am attending a pirate themed party tonight. However, I don't own any pirate gear like eye patches, skull and crossbones anything, or anything of the sort. I thought I might dress like a terrorist/member of Hamas or Mehdi army.
This will include a keffiyeh worn around the head, tan cargo pants, and a che t-shirt or black t shirt. I know I will look like a fool , but the irony is kind of the point, because I hate terrorists.
Would this offend anyone, or am I overthinking it and no one will care. Thanks.

Your choice to dress as a terrorist isn't such a bad choice...It beats the hell out of showing up as a GAY PIRATE.

A terrorist at a pirate party? Okay...
You need to dress like a conventional pirate and drink Captain Morgan's at the party if you really want to win at life.

True pirate parties end in vigorous rape and pillaging.

Idiot.
If you can't do a pirate costume you need to dress as a ninja.
Or if worse comes to worst, just write 'pirates of the Caribbean' on a blank CD and carry it around your neck.

Yes you will really look like a fool.
I recommend wearing a t-shirt with a bomb printed on it.

Re: Is it offensive to dress like a terrorist for a party?
Just dress as a Somali pirate. It would be good because that's currently in the news.
All you need is a bandanna around your head, a kinky-top wig, a filthy tank top, jeans from 1985, cheap flip-flops, a toy plastic AK-47 or a cheap machete from Home Depot, and blackface makeup.
Total cost: less than $15
