Now, the problem is. The university doesn't allow Ragging but still it turns a blind eye towards it. The assholes seniors try and do stupid things and sometimes verbal threats and even physical threats are common.

Today, it happened to me. I just simply said NO, but still i played along and then they started being really bitchy.


Long story short:
They are trying to persuade me into coming with them, for a ragging session, because i didn't let them do there idiotic deeds and they are threatening as if they own me. Motherfuckers. I think we need a new VTECH!


I need a way out of this mess. The best possible thing would be to stand my ground and if things get ugly report it to the concerned authority. I am actually wishing they will physically attack me. Which might help me in banning ragging forever and punishing those who are responsible.

I did some quick reading on Ragging. It sounds as if it's an ugly tradition. Contact an anti-ragging committee; apparently an oral complaint is enough to get the authorities involved.

Do not respect, nor accept, their authority. If you catch a beating or someone attempts to humiliate you, it's only as bad as you allow. The only person that can accept something as an embarrassment is you. Remember that laughter and enjoyment can be a tool. Doing something outrageous may only serve as an amusing story for later in life.

If there is a beating, don't hesitate to give as good as you get. Neck, temple, eyes, groin, kidneys, and solar plexus are parts of the body to be kept in mind.

Yeah I also just looked up ragging, pretty severe situation you have could have on your hands. I've known frat guys who have taken hazing really serious but apparently students in South Asia and such take it to knew extremes.

Euda pretty much covered it, try to avoid the aholes as much as possible and try to be in groups. Walk away whenever possible, and don't do anything stupid like carry a weapon (Atleast not a lethal one, maybe some pepper spray/mace or even a taser if they happen to be legal where you are). Everything is back to normal, i haven't seen anyone from that Gang anywhere and i also got full support of my class. Tomorrow is Study Activity class and as far as i know it consist of seniors and teachers giving us orientation on various University clubs. Everyone is forced to attend it (Attendance Mandatory) hopefully it will go well.

Anyway, hopefully by next week i wont be facing this issue but still i will make sure this practice will end and i can assure you i will do my level best to end it.

Showers, being a scarce commodity in the mornings at boarding schools, would frequently be filled with youngins' and first years as they would get up early to claim the hot water. When we wanted to shower we would just jump in next to them naked. Some of them would even shower with shorts on for the first six months or so they were so insecure.
