So my hair is growing out, right now at the front it is past my eyes already and halfway down my nose, in the back it is almost at the base of my neck, I want to cut my hair, but I don't want to cut it short, because even though it looks fine and all that jazz, that is what I did last time and I want something unusual. So I was thinking of cutting one half of my hair short, as short as I can get it without my Dumbo ears showing, and leaving the other half to grow. Maybe dyeing it black, too. I know that isn't too original, that many metalheads and punks have it like that, but I think I would like it, and if I don't, well, I can always cut the other half to match the one that I cut.
Ideas?

I had hair much like that at one point. Granted, I just had it cut into something nice with a short fringe but my hair's pretty whack now.

I had the sides shorn pretty damn short, my fringe (a properly cut one, not just long hair growing out) comes about an inch past my eye, the back is longer at one side. Also, I've dyed the short shorn sides black and the top/back is purple, if you can imagine that.

Dying your hair black isn't too contrived as long as you don't just do the short hair with ridiculous fringe. Go around the internet and look for cool hair cuts you like, then come up with something original.
