Default The Mystery of The Crystal skulls

How many of you have seen this show on SciFi? What are your opinions on the subject?

One thing I hadn't seen or heard of before was a story about a photo from the moon's surface where it supposedly shows what looks like a robotic like skull, and the astronauts standing just a few feet from it.

What does everyone thing of this? True or fake?

I stopped watching Sci-Fi a while back because I was sick of Stargate SG-1. But, I have seen a few shows on the crystal skulls on the History channel. Quite amazing craftsmenship but, I am highly doubtful as to whether there is anything "supernatural" about them.

I googled "robot skull moon astronaut" and this site came up, I was wondering if these were the pictures you were talking about. Scroll down about half way and disregard the text.

It helps if you read the words:

"In looking at the context panoramas from which it was taken, Hoagland was able to confirm that the head was approximately the same size as human head..."

How do you know they are telling the truth? Could it be that there are some in the field of science that simply don't want to have to deal with something that may have been made by something other than man?

Or better still. In the ancient hindu texts, there are descriptions of beings engaged in what can only be described as an atomic war. This is from some of the oldest books known to man. Could there have been other beings here at one time? Could we not have been some kind of experiment or even worse, created as a slave race to these beings?

Could these beings have been the "Anunnaki" that "Sitchin" writes about in his books?

If any of this could be true, then whose to say there aren't those out there, that simply refuse to believe that, because of their religious upbringing. Could it be possible that they would even go as far as to manipulate certain tests in order to further their religious views and down play any evidence that comes their way?

I know that's a lot of "coulds" but it is something to think about.

There is actually quite a lot of evidence that there was an advanced civilisation in existence prior to ours. I wouldn't go so far as to say that they were aliens and we were created
as their slaves; I think it's more likely that it was our distant and almost forgotten ancestors. The theory goes that they were wiped out in some sort of natural (or perhaps not-so-natural) disaster, hence the noah's flood parallel being present in almost every culture's folklore and the fact that no-one can explain how many of the staggeringly huge and beautiful ancient monuments could have been conceived and constructed by "primitive" cultures.

Could you give me the sources and/or quotes from the Hindu text you were on about? I'd be interested. Cheers.

Of course - German product quality is usually excellent, but very expensive. I'm betting that eventually E.T. will start buying his mass produced goods from the Chinese, just like everybody else.

That 'rock' does looke a bit like a skull, but I would say organic if anything, not as precise & symmetric as you would think an androir would be - and why would an outer space robot be an android anyway? Even if there was life out there that had the intelligence, means, and drive to create robots who says they'd create them in their image? The want to create something in your image is a human trait. Maybe they possess it also, but then why do they create a robot in a form similar to what a Human would call an adroid, do these other beings look just like us (meaning they've have to come from a planet pretty much exactly like ours)? Don't forget that even within our own planet beings have an enormous range of physical appearances. I say, if that was a robot's head it was made in the form of a human - which is a scary thought - but if anything that skull is organic, and in my mind would have to be of a race from Earth - perhaps from another time.

Also, don't generalise on people through religion (I've only met a few bible thumpers of the heaps of people that practice some form of a Christian based religion, and never met anyone with such a wild and unfounded belief that all life is on earth and earth only), it's as bad as racism from ignorance.

not all bible thumpers follow Vatican doctrine. There will still be those who believe there aren't other species alive in the universe.

I saw the program about the Skulls on scifi. I liked the inclusion of the Nazca lines. For some reason, they intrigue me immensely. I'm not sure what to think about the skull's origin. I would like to think that they are of some other manufacturer than modern man, but who knows?

scifi specials to me are full of way too much filler and tend to be pretty uninformative for the length of the shows.

I don't think an organic skull would have lasted that long on the moon's exposed surface. As to the making in their image thing. Who's to say that an earlier form of mankind didn't reach a level of technology that allowed them to build cities on the moon & mars.

Later some catastrophe of massive proportions happens, that basically knocked mankind back down the technological ladder to the level of the caveman, and just about any remnant's of their technology all but disappeared. Except for the occasional archeological curiosities that pop up from time to time, only to be shelved until some later date.

Also, don't generalise on people through religion (I've only met a few bible thumpers of the heaps of people that practice some form of a Christian based religion, and never met anyone with such a wild and unfounded belief that all life is on earth and earth only), it's as bad as racism from ignorance.

When I say bible thumpers. I mean the ones that no matter how much proof you show them (I.E. dinosuars and cavemen and such). They still refuse to believe in anything except how the bible says things happened, no matter contradictory it may be.

You may have only met a few, but I've ran into quite a lot of them in my years on this planet.

Yes there are some that will never believe there's life anywhere out there, because they are so arrogant to think that we as humans are it, the top of the food chain, the most perfect creation in all of creation and there's nothing more.

I was also glad they included the "Nazca lines" as well. It's just another one of those "archeological curiosities" that I mentioned in the above repsonse.

It's interesting to say that, because the Roman empire was pretty advanced before the middle ages, and there's evidence of other advanced races here on earth - but the thing is we don't have evidence that we can 'prove*' about them being so far advanced. The lack of this evidence makes it any such theories pretty scientifically/factually leaky**, whether anyone likes it or not.

*/**Coming back to those points (and the original topic), it's been suggested that the crystal skulls are some sort of solid state recording devices with a message, or the worlds history on them - but this can't ever be anything more than a crackpot idea, at least not until we have a way of reading them. Maybe civilisations have come & gone, but maybe they haven't quite - the past may have been built from our own people in the future.

I agree. that is is hard to prove there have may have been more advanced civilizations here before current mankind, and any evidence may have been accidentily or purposely destroyed/suppressed along the way.

Such as a story I heard awhile back about a group of ancient monks that had discovered a set of hidden metal doors in a cave somewhere. after awhile they were able to open them to find a room that was filled with ancient knowledge.

Upon looking at some of the relics, the monks deemed them to be sacrilegious to the religious doctrines at that time and decided to burn everything in the room.

If this is a true story, then god only knows what kind of important scientific knowledge may have been destroyed in that cave. all because of religious zealotry. They say the same thing is supposed to have happened to some of the mayan or aztec's codex's that were discovered by the spanish after coming to the new world.

I made this to point out flaws in the theory that this shape is a face: http://i30.tinypic.com/34gq69c.jpg
It's basically just a bunch of brainstorming but I think I've pointed out at least a few real flaws.

There is a possibility that it is something unnatural but as much as I hate to say it, I doubt it.

I'd also like to point out that there are tons of other reasons to deny life on other planets from preventing mass panic to wanting to find more information for a governments personal use without giving it to other governments.

Very nice, i agree with you that this is probably just a rock with some coincidental shadows being cast by it, in a different light i'm sure it would look more like a rock and less like a skull.

As for other crystal skulls - i'll stick to what the museum researchers decided about their crystal skulls, but that's not saying that other ones aren't actual ancient mayan artifacts, or that one actual skull fueled the creation of many imitations.

R: Thank you. We identify the three secret power groups who are in fact behind and in charge of and fighting with each other for power under the NASA emblem. And they are... because I can see that’s where you want to go [Kerry laughing] - they are the Nazis, the Masons, and the Magicians.

K: Very good, very good! So that’s actually stunning that you would actually name them, at least at that level.

R: Why is it stunning? That’s the truth.

K: Because very few people will.

R: That’s what Dark Mission's all about. To tell people the truth.

I didn't realize they brought the 'skull' back from the Moon, unless you're talking about these (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crystal_skull) crystal skulls.
