Default Hopkins vs Calzaghe

Calzaghe really should win. As Ben said, he's the younger, faster, fitter, busier fighter. He's going to be punching for the full round, and although I really doubt many of them will be landing, he is going to be the aggressor.

I'm not 100% convinced though, and have had a sneaky bet on B-HOP. You don't get many fighters slicker than him, and Calzaghe isn't the best against back foot fighters. Calzaghe will have to force the fight, and B-HOP is very hard to hit. US judges don't like unclean punching, and I can maybe see him hitting a lot of glove/arm/thigh, but not scoring shots. On the other hand, BH is one of the great defensive fighters. Every time JC misses, he could end up with a big right in the mush - which US judges tend to favor. Expect B-HOP to throw flurrys of quick punches, and then tie Calzaghe up. Mawl on the inside, butt, and really try and put Calzaghe out of stride.

Still, I really can't see Calzaghe blowing this. He is a big favorite for a reason. Hopkins is still very good, but has already been exposed by a quick, busy fighter in Jermain Taylor. Calzaghe has everything JT has.

Ahhh I don't really like either of them. Not a bad fight but i'm disheartened by the lack of talent in the boxing industry these days...
