on this school thing. I'm staying with a family for a week.So I've decided I'm getting a few small gifts for the people in the family I'm staying with. Also because I'm going to be staying with them during a week long festival i might end up meeting up with relatives of theirs.

Now as gift giving is rather important thing in japan, and i wish to give them my thanks. My Japanese teacher has suggested some kind of smoked salmon (apparently it's addictive as crack over there) and a booklet of pictures of British columbia (place where i live)
I'd like to get individual gifts. But i really don't know what to get them..


I need some ideas on what kind of thing i can get them.
There's a Father,Mother, and a girl in grade 8.

any Ideas for things to give out to any relatives i might encounter would be helpful also.
