People are more likely to post a decent thread in a blank forum than one full of spam. Spammers are more likely to post shit in a forum full of spam than a blank one.

Whilst you might say, "it doesn't matter, nobody will post here anyway," that doesn't mean it shouldn't be kept appropriately for the few that do.
