I know this is old news, but I'm watching the D-III football championship and it's like she's blind. And deaf. To this point in the game, Mt. Union and Whitewater have fumbled four times between the both of them, and she has yet to realize it during the course of play. Also, her interpretations of how many yards gained/lost per play is wayyyyyy off. I mean, I'm not a pro commentator, but I can tell the difference between a 1-yard and 5-yard run.

She's been play-by-play commentating for the last 3 or four years now; you would think a little experience would make you a better broadcaster.

I'm all for gender equality in broadcasting, but Michelle Tafoya or pretty much anyone else would not only SOUND better (Pam's husky voice=not the most appealing), but when they panned to the broadcast booth at halftime, Man's collective penis wouldn't bolt inside his body.

On another note, way to go UW-Whitewater.

Eh I didn't really notice. I've basically learned to tone them out because commentators nowadays always seem to babble on about everything EXCEPT the game itself.

At least back in the days of Madden and Summerall, John Madden would say something so common-sensical that it was totally stupid and you laughed a little and thought "haha that guy took one too many shots in his day," or "haha that guy had one too many beers before the game."

Now with her and guys like Tony Kornheiser, its just "OUT OF THE 6 BILLION+ PEOPLE IN THE WORLD, THEY HAD TO PICK YOU!?!?!?!?!"

LOL. The thing is is that Summerall would balance Madden out. Madden would say something stupid after a play, you have a good laugh, and then it goes back to Pat for play by play. Now its constant blabbing about shit like its a group of people on the couch kinda watching the game. And then there's people like Bill-fucking-Walton. OMFG don't get me started.

Yea she does suck. I'd take Tony over Dennis Miller anyday.
Clyde Frazier doing the Knicks game is classic, he rhymes the play by play and being a former great player he knows his shit, Walt is the man. Bout the only good commentary besides the guys who do the Rangers games on msg.

you bring up an interesting point: Hockey broadcasters seem to be the only people who know what the fuck they are talking about! Even at the college level; they put UW Badger games on TV up here and the not-quite-pro broadcasters actually hold intelligent conversations about what is going on...that is a little strange nobody else seems to be able to do that for other sports...
