It was... errh... over-tacticalised (don't care if it isn't a proper word; suck it up). And the teams were pretty evenly-matched, except, of course the Afrikaners had more stamina and resilience. Unfortunately there was so much kicking I could have sworn the ball nearly became round near the end. :(

Also, Alain Roland should've been more strict with the Brits, especially the guy who tried to bring the wonderful football tradition of diving into rugby, or the guy who shoved Montgomery into the camera.
