questions about new scanner
I'm thinking of buying a scanner. Has anyone tried the "Uniden BR330T Scanner"? http://tinyurl.com/346d4a
Frequency Coverage 0.1-823.9875MHZ, 849.0125-868.9875MHz, 894.0125MHz-1.30GHz (excluding cellular bands)
I can get it for $250, is this a good first scanner?

Re: questions about new scanner
hay sorry your thread got lost there :(
yea that sounds like a really nice rig.
anything with close call is great and with the ranges you should be able to hear quite a bit of local chatter.
as long as it has what you think you might be interested in, then it is a good scanner.
let us know.

Re: questions about new scanner
If memory serves me right, I believe that's basically the BCD396T without APCO-25 capability. From what I've heard and seen, it's an excellent unit. That price doesn't seem bad at all, either.
