cb
hey its me again...n e way. i ve been searching online for the past week or two and have found nothing on cbs for beginners. can anyone recommend a good brand/model to start out with...im looking for a handheld one as i dont have a care to pu it in lol. also, i live in ny in the 4th floor of a 6 story building. most houses here are private 2 story deals but thers also 6 story buildings on the other side of the street. n e way...my question is this-will i be able to scan anything with these conditions? thanx...

Do you wan't 27Mhz CB, UHF, Scanner or shortwave?
Also living on the 4th floor restricts putting aerials on the roof, but the added height puts you at an advantage, especially in the UHF area.
27Mhz would be average, UHF and scanning would be great and Shortwave would be poor due to the lack of antenna space and electrical noise.

im interested in a 27Mhz cb. i wanna be able to pick up cops, fire emts,and the occasional trucker as i got a freeway runnin about 3 miles away. i have acces to my buildings roof so height would be at my disposal. should i go to with the cb, UHF or scanner, i want to able to comunicate with other cb'ers in my area..as i know there are some.
