I found a chain of sites that let you download as many free metal albums as you want, that you're "supposed" to delete in 24 hours and buy the album but you don't have to, all you have to do is go through the lists of albums then you go download from a sever and unzip the .rar and you there you have it, I don't know if this is old or what and this is not like those virus infested "free mp3" sites. I downloaded some albums and they work perfectly.

Yes this is one of the biggest finds of my life, I've downloaded like 10 gbs over the last few days, have many unheard bands that are great

I've never heard of any of those. I love metal, some of my favorits are lamb of god, testament, opeth, iron maiden, pantera, machine head, slipknot. I don't want to download those because I don't have alot of room left on my computer with my 30 gigs of music so could you recommend me some of the bands based on the bands that I like?

They usually say what type of genre they are, I haven't downloaded much thrash metal, mostly lots of good black metal and death metal, and they often describe types of bands too, metal-archive has mostly metal like Metallica or those bands you listed. Although try Trivium, and the "metal-dz" page, lots of bands that are thrash-metal-ish and metalcore.

I just hope they have some of the harder to get albums of almost non-existant bands that I'm after.

To search for a specific album, just go to the top of the page and type in the album and band then click SEARCH ALL BLOGS, it'll search everything and it should be found if it exists.

Also black metallers, check out Ulver, they're one of the best black metal bands, their early stuff.
